STEVE GADD with L'IMAGE

I was really moved by a rare live performance by a group called L'Image on the latest Gadd DVD (American Drummers Achievement Awards on Hudson).

This group was from '77 and included Mike Manieri and Tony Levin among others... VERY cool fusion and Gadd's performance on these three songs is incredible... so much passion, power, flow and finesse.

Apperantly Peter Erskine played with this group for a little while too? Though they never ended up making an album, a few L'Image songs can be found on Mike Manieri's later solo albums. I have a couple of them, and they are outstanding... I could even swear that there is some double kick going on in one!!! I think it's Gadd on the track... I will post it soon, check back!

Anyone have more info or know of the band?
